Well, I don’t know what you’d consider to be over the top for a sex scene. There’s no nudity, but it’s happening in the middle of the stage. However, Will is singing on the couch to the left and Tunny is playing his guitar to the right, so it’s not the only thing going on at the time. There is also drug use in the show. Whether it’s appropriate for a 12 year old, I’d say it depends on how mature you think the 12 year old is.
